Currawinya National Park and Hungerford

Just North of the border with New South Wales, in Western Queensland, lies a nice little town called Hungerford. In order to cross the border, one has to open and go through a fence. This fence is part of the dingo fence.
Hungerford lies close to the Paroo river, which is part of the Murray-Darling catchment.
This river goes through the Currawinya National Park. There are some great waterholes there, where camping is fantastic.
Another feature of the National Park are the two lakes, Lake Wyara and Lake Numalla. The lakes are only a few kilometers apart of each other, but strangely enough, Lake Wyara is filled with salt water, while Lake Numalla is a fresh water lake.
