Diamantina NP is a remote National Park in Queensland's west, in what is called Channel Country. It can be reached via Winton on the Matilda Highway or via dusty roads out of Birdsville and Boulia. The park features sand dunes, claypans, ragged red-capped ranges, and the broad floodplains and braided channels of the Diamantina River, one of the Queensland’s longest rivers.
