Flores
Flores is an island in the Nusa Tenggara province. The landscape is rugged and full of active and extinct volcanoes. But there are also green, wet rice fields. Flores has a population of less than 2 million people making it a (compared to Indonesian standard) rather sparsely crowded island. Christianity is the main religion. Around 85% of the people are Christian. Christianity in this part of Indonesia has animistic rites incorporated. The route that we traveled was: Maumere, Moni (Keli Mutu), Ende, Bajawa, Ruteng, Labuhanbajo. From Labuhanbajo we visited Kanawa Island, Komodo Island and Rinca Island. The pictures are in the same order.
