Unless stated otherwise, images on this website may be downloaded and used under the Creative Commons Attribution-Non-commercial-No Derivative Works 2.5 Australia License.
No Derivative Works means, that you may not modify or remove any parts of
the image; this includes watermarks and IPTC/EXIF information.
Non-commercial means, that you may not use the image primarily directed toward commercial advantage or private monetary compensation.
Note that if you want to use our images as part of your (paid) profession, we regard this as commercial use and you cannot use our
images without our permission.
Attribution means, that you must give credit us the way we want it.

Licenses for other uses as well as high-resolution versions of our images are available and usually incur a fee. The exact fee varies and is dependent several factors.
For a high-resolution version for private use or small non-profit projects we usually charge AUD 40.00 excluding 10% GST (GST is only payable if you are based in Australia).
Click here for an indication of our license fee for professional editorial use. For editorial use we always require a photo credit line. Licenses for promotional use and advertising are depending on more factors and in general higher.
The only case in which we happily provide a high-resolution version and license without a fee, is when your organisation's main objective is wildlife protection or nature conservation and the image is used in direct relationship with that.
