The Butt of Lewis (Rubha Robhanais in Scottish Gaelic) is the most northerly point of the Isle of Lewis. The headland, which lies in the North Atlantic, is frequently battered by heavy swells and storms. However the day we visited all was very quiet. On the point stands the Butt of Lewis Lighthouse. There is a very nice walk around the headland, on top of the cliffs and through the crofts around the village of Eoropie.
