Boodjamulla National Park (formerly known as Lawn Hill National Park) lies in the Outback of Tropical North Queensland. It is a lush oasis in the dry and dusty tablelands south of the Gulf of Carpentaria. The park features spectacular gorges, sandstone ranges and World Heritage fossils (see our Riversleigh World Heritage Site collection). The main attraction of the park is Lawn Hill Gorge, formed by the spring-fed Lawn Hill Creek. Camping, canoeing and bushwalking in the Gorge are all fantastic. The traditional owners are the Waanyi people.
