Corni Paroo is a permanent waterhole in the Paroo River in Currawinya National Park. It is a great place to camp. We camped there for the first time in 2001 and have back nine times! It is always different, depending on the season and whether there is a drought on or not. Although there is always water, sometimes the level is quite low, other times the Paroo River is flowing. You will always see birds and other wildlife. In 2011, after a few very wet years, we encountered very many waterbirds. The River Red Gums on Corni Paroo have there own colour.. I we were to choose our favourite camping spot in Australia, Corni Paroo would certainly be nominated.
