HERMANESS, UNST

Hermaness is the northernmost headland of Unst, the northernmost inhabited island of Shetland. The tip of the headland overlooks Muckle Flugga, Britain's most northerly point. The Hermaness National Nature Reserve provides a haven for thousands of seabirds. The kilometres long board-walk over the moor is well worth the effort. The views from the cliffs at Toolie are formidable and so are is the gannet colony at Neap to the south and Muckle Flugga to the north. It is one of the best walks you can do in the world!
