WELFORD NATIONAL PARK

Welford National Park lies in Western Queenland, 30 km from Jundah (the administrative centre of Barcooshire, but such a small and remote town, that it still does not have mobile phone coverage!). It is a real Outback park with spinifex, white-barked ghost gums and red sand dunes as well as River Red gum lined waterholes. Heaps of birds and Kangaroos and many wildflowers if you happen to visit after rain. The Barcoo River winds through the National Park. Little Boomerang Waterhole is a great place to camp, although it has become a bit over-regulated lately..
